Responsibilities:
- Responsible for working with customers to define project requirements into Statements of Work, High Level Design Documents, and Low Level Design Documents.
- The Solution Architect will co-ordinate the entire process starting from Requirements, Architecture, Planning, Delivery through to Transition & Operations mode.
- Responsible for installation, commissioning, integration, system configuration, upgrades and use case creation.
- Responsible for building knowledge and sharing that within the professional services team but more broadly into the organization too.
- You will be the trusted Accedian advisor to the customer
- Become proficient in the Accedian portfolio and be able to adapt the portfolio’s use to different customer challenges.
- Handle lab testing and extensive customer acceptance processes.
- Handle effective project implementation and delivery to ensure customer satisfaction.
- As we manage the team, help onboard and mentor other developers.
- Support our pre-sales and sales colleagues from technical angel.
- Experience in mobile and wireline, a transport/backhaul network is crucial.
- Comfortable with daily customer interactions, including delivering presentations as our expert on site to recommend measures for network improvements based on output coming from the Accedian portfolio.
- Write reports, technical answers to questions and handle collection of information from our solutions installed at customers.
- Analyze results and communicate them to the customer, highlighting performance degradation within their networks and provide recommended solutions.
- Help customers troubleshoot network issues identified by our solutions.
- Ensure complete customer happiness through all stages of the delivery process.
- Train our customers to improve their knowledge and usage of our products.
Who you are :
Technical skills
- Min. 10 years of network performance solution architecting experience (software development solution architecture skills – bonus) for telco scale applications.
- Strong understanding of OSI layer.
- Excellent knowledge of one or more of the following protocols: Ethernet, IP, FiberChanel.
- Experience in testing of L2 and L3 layer Protocol like STP, OAM, IPv4/IPv6, OSPF, BGP, L3VPN.
- Solid understanding in switching concepts VLAN’s, Routing concepts, QoS, Ethernet, MPLS, PPoE, Fiber Channel.
- In-depth knowledge of service quality management; CoS and QoS
- Must have hands-on experience on variety of OS (operating system) like REDHAT, Ubuntu, CentOs, Kaali etc.
- Must have hands-on experience on variety of Hypervisors like VMWare, KVM (ovirt/iibvirt), Oracle etc.
- Telecom 4G / 5G network architecture understanding or L2/L3 network protocol understanding.
- Basic knowledge about cloud native technologies and have working experience on at least two of these: containers, Kubernetes, Gitlab Pipelines, observability stack
- Must have knowledge of network KPIs like Delay, Jitter, Packetloss etc.
- Experience in test automation tool Test Complete using Jscript and/or similar tools.
- Knowledge on software platforms Git, GitLab
- Basic knowledge of languages like etc.
- Experience on lab setup including network configuration using devices like Router and Switches for any required scenarios (VLAN, MPLS or any routing protocol).
- Experience on any traffic generator tool like SmartBits or IXIA and pacPython, Shell, perl, sqlket capturing tool like Wireshark.
- Must have experience on APIs framework understanding methods.
- Must have knowledge on project documentation like RFP, RFI, SRD, HLD, LLD, NRD, SOW etc.
Requirements/ Qualifications:
- Minimum of 9 years prior experience working as a Sr. Network Engineer.
- Experience developing applications using mainstream programming languages like Java, Python, and Go.
- Experience leading architecture design of medium - large scale distributed systems based on Micro-services in a telco environment.
- Valid CCNA certification would be an added advantage
- Previous working experience on cloud technologies like AWS, GCP Or AZURE would be added advantage
- Ability to work closely with cross functional teams & have demonstrated flexibility to support multiple APAC time zone
- Previous experience on Accedian product line would be an added advantage
- Display social skills that show confidence and the ability to communicate at both senior (Management) and junior levels within the customer organization
- Strong statistical and analytical abilities.
- Ability to understand, compile, evaluate, and present complex data and solutions.
- Passionate and self-motivated with the ability to learn quickly and independently.
- Must have a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent industry related experience.
- Must possess a strong focus on customer service and be able to establish and maintain strong relationships throughout the services delivery cycle.
- Must have strong written and verbal communication skills and be able to effectively articulate technology and product positioning to both business and technical users.
- Must be able to maintain a functional home office.
- Must be able to work with team members in different geographical time zones.
