Solution Architect: Redhat Openshift

Role & responsibilities

• Architectural Design: Develop and design comprehensive containerized solutions

using Red Hat OpenShift, ensuring alignment with clients' business goals and

technical requirements.

• Technical Leadership: Provide technical leadership and guidance to development

teams, ensuring best practices and standards in containerization and

microservices architectures are followed.

• Client Engagement: Work closely with clients to understand their business

needs, translate them into technical requirements, and propose suitable

container solutions.

• Solution Implementation: Oversee the deployment and integration of

containerized applications, ensuring seamless operation within clients' existing IT

environments.

• Performance Optimization: Monitor and optimize the performance, scalability,

and reliability of container solutions.

• Mentorship: Mentor junior architects and engineers, fostering a culture of

continuous learning and innovation.

• Documentation: Create and maintain detailed architectural documentation,

including system diagrams, technical specifications, and operational guides.

• Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including

developers, operations, and business stakeholders, to ensure successful project

delivery.

• Technology Advocacy: Stay updated on the latest trends and advancements in

container technologies and promote the adoption of best practices within the

organization.

Primary

• RedHat OpenShift Expertise: RedHat OpenShift Container Platform

• Containerization Technologies: Docker, Podman, and other container runtimes

• Microservices Architecture: Designing and implementing microservices-based

architectures

• DevOps and CI/CD: DevOps practices and tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab, Argo CD)

• Cloud Platforms: Major cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) using

RedHat OpenShift

• Scripting and Automation: Scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or Groovy

• Security and Compliance: Container security best practices

• System Architecture and Design: Design scalable, resilient, and high-

performance containerized solutions

Secondary

• RedHat Enterprise Linux (RHEL): RedHat Enterprise Linux and its ecosystem

• Monitoring and Logging: Monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus,

Grafana, ELK stack)

• Networking: Container networking concepts and tools

• Database Management: SQL and NoSQL databases

• Agile Methodologies: Agile and Scrum methodologies

• Disaster Recovery and High Availability: Disaster recovery strategies and high

availability setups

• Collaboration Tools: Collaboration and version control tools (e.g., Git, Jira,

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field; or

equivalent work experience.

• Proven experience as a Solution Architect or Software Architect, with expertise in

designing and architecting complex solutions.

• 15+ years of experience in IT, with at least 5 years focusing on container

technologies and Red Hat OpenShift.

• Deep understanding of Red Hat OpenShift, Kubernetes, Docker, and other container

orchestration and management tools.

• Proficiency in cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, with experience

in deploying and managing containerized applications in these environments.

• Strong coding and scripting skills in languages such as Python, Java, or Go.

• Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and automation tools like Ansible,

Jenkins, and Terraform.

• Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical

issues.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey technical

concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Relevant certifications such as Red Hat Certified Specialist in Containers and

Kubernetes, Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA), or similar are highly desirable.

Business Hour

• Normal Business hours. The expectation would be to start late and cover EST time

until 12 PM. Exception subject to manager permission.

Job Type

• Hybrid Working: Minimum 4 days from office Monday to Thursday. Friday is flexible

but in case of business need and high demand, the manager may request to be

present in the office.
