JOB DESCRIPTION
· 
Strong experience in migrating on-prem SQL systems into Azure data platforms (PaaS & IaaS)
Experience in data migration tools / methods to migrate on-prem data to cloud with minimal downtime to applications
Experience in analysis, capacity planning, designing, and configuration of Azure SQL database systems
Extensive experience in automation tools like Terraform
Set up & manage SQL Server AlwaysOn Availability Groups (AAG) and Distributed AAG (DAAG) methods
Strong experience in performance tuning
Automate day-to-day migration related activities
Set up monitoring and alerting of Azure databases
Build and automate database maintenance jobs in Azure (Ex: backups, index maintenance, update stats, check db...)
Good to have some level of exposure to any one of these no-sql platforms – Cosmos DB, Mongo DB, Cassandra
Good to have some level of exposure to architecting / building containerized database solutions
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's in Computer Science or related field with 5 years of SQL DBA experience

Start ASAP
Work Environment: Hybrid
ONLY locals who can be hybrid (2 days a week in office)
Term: 12-24 months on contract with potential to convert to FTE
