Expectations For This Role
- Good understand of MSSQL Clienthitecture and internals
- Strong with basics
- Expert in performance tuning and query optimization have good experience working on large databases (5TB 20 TB)
- Good experience in HA/DR solutions like Always ON, Replication and clustering
- Good knowledge and experience in TSQL scripting
- Automation experience with PowerShell / TSQL / Python....
- SQL Server development background will be an added advantage
Minimum 12+ years Experience
- At least 5+ years of SQL DBA experience covering implementation, production support and project work. At least 4+ years of exposure as L3/SME support role.
- Knowledge and Understanding of ITIL process
- In client facing role(s) for at least 3 years.
- On call support for at least 3 years.
Skills
Excellent Documentations skills in MS SharePoint 2010 /2013, Confluence.
Mandatory skills - SQL Server administration required skills
- Knowledge on AWS Cloud services like RDS, S3, Redshift etc
- MySQL/PostgresSQL knowledge / experience.
- Linux Knowledge.
- Experience with Clienture
- Experience with Snow Flake
- Experience in PowerBI
Certifications Desired

Responsibility
- Ability to think about a problem, identify what we have and implement solutions to solve the problem independently
- Work with onsite client team / Application owners in US / UK to Migrate Applications, Database building and Decommissioning
- Ability to take lead on some projects and works as part of a team (follow another leader on others)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to think in and out of the box. Come up with service improvement ideas and innovative solutions.
- Self-motivated, conscientious, dedicated individual who works equally well independently or as a member of a team
- Must be willing to take responsibility and ownership instead of waiting to be assigned work
- The candidate must be willing to provide On-call and weekend support for SQL and MYSQL, the support is rotated among DBA's in US and India
- Enable and support the team in resolving day-to-day production issues, application upgrades and patches, performance analysis, disaster recovery implementation, capacity planning and other activities as may be necessary.
- Work on Change implementations during UK, US business hours & weekends as per change management process
- Documentation & Operational performance reporting
- Own Service Improvements
- Execute on demand IT projects
- Drive compliance to client and organization processes and policies
- Ensure Quality of deliverables
