SQL DBA with ETL DataStage

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field. Certifications related to ETL processing is acceptable.
• 5+ years of experience with ETL development tools including but not limited to IBM DataStage.
• Experience with MS SQL database objects, coding, and architecture.
• 5+ years of experience with SQL programming inclusive of stored procedures, functions, triggers, packages and scheduled jobs.
• 6+ years of experience with SQL relational databases or working with warehouse loading and extractions.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Visio, Project, and PowerPoint
• Experience with Project Management (Standards, Best Practices, Terms, Tools) is desired.
• Ability to work well in a team environment with education and technology solutions.
• Demonstrated experience with implementation projects with the following characteristics:
o High-profile, 
o Multiple technologies and functions.
o Experience working in state government.
o Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
o Ability to communicate effectively with technical and user staff.

Deliverables/Tasks
The key deliverables include, but are not limited to the following:
• Responsible for extracting, transforming, and loading data into a warehouse environment.
• Consults and meets with the data management team to review data needs in order to develop jobs.
• Design and code based on Department’s specifications and database architecture.
• Ensures technical direction and standards are being followed.
• Conduct testing of developed jobs and processes to ensure efficiency and functionality.
• Troubleshoot issues encountered during ETL processing in a timely structured manner.
• Demonstrates an understanding of tactical goals and effectively participates in the development and implementation of business solutions.
• Ability to communicate recommendations, issues encountered and overall project information clearly.
• Creates and improves data solutions that enable data delivery.
• Responsible for gathering, processing, maintaining, and analyzing large amounts of data.
• Written documentation showing testing and verification of modifications to ensure that objectives are met.
