Key Responsibilities
Production Support:
Monitor production environments to ensure high availability and performance.
Investigate and resolve production incidents, providing timely support to stakeholders.
Work closely with development and infrastructure teams to identify root causes and implement long-term fixes.
Perform proactive system monitoring and optimization.
SQL Database Management
Write and optimize SQL queries for performance tuning.
Manage and support databases, ensuring data integrity and availability.
Conduct regular database maintenance, including backups, restores, and index optimization.
Troubleshoot SQL-related issues, including slow queries and data inconsistencies.
Java Application Support
Provide support for Java-based applications, including troubleshooting, debugging, and performance tuning.
Collaborate with the development team to deploy new releases and hotfixes.
Analyze logs and error messages to identify issues and potential improvements.
Assist in the configuration and optimization of Java applications in production.
Incident And Problem Management
Document incidents, root cause analyses, and solutions in a knowledge base.
Participate in post-incident reviews to identify improvements in processes and tools.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement preventive measures.
Continuous Improvement
Identify and implement opportunities for automation in support processes.
Contribute to the development of monitoring and alerting tools to proactively address issues.
Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in production support, SQL, and Java.
