SQL Server Data and Analytics Specialist

Job Description:

• We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced SQL Server Data and Analytics Specialist to join our team.
• As a SQL Server Data and Analytics Specialist, you will play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining our SQL Server databases and analytics solutions.
• You will work closely with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, design data models, optimize SQL queries, and analyze data to drive business insights and decision-making.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain SQL Server databases, including tables, views, stored procedures, and functions, to support business applications and analytics needs.
• Develop and optimize complex SQL queries and scripts to extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from various sources into SQL Server databases.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications for database design and analytics solutions.
• Design and implement data models, data warehouses, and data marts to support reporting and analytics requirements.
• Implement and maintain data quality and data governance processes to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity.
• Perform data analysis and develop reports, dashboards, and visualizations using tools such as Power BI or Tableau to present insights and trends to stakeholders.
• Monitor database performance, identify bottlenecks and optimization opportunities, and implement performance tuning strategies to improve query performance and scalability.
• Provide technical guidance and support to other team members, including developers, analysts, and business users, on SQL Server database design, development, and best practices.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
• Proven experience as a SQL Server Database Developer or Data Analyst, with a strong understanding of SQL Server database design, development, and administration.
• Proficiency in writing complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and functions.
• Experience with database modeling, data warehousing, and ETL processes.
• Hands-on experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze data, identify trends, and communicate insights effectively.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
