Responsibilities

 

 

  • The SQL Server DBA will be responsible for the implementation, configuration, maintenance, and performance of critical DB servers, to ensure the availability and consistent performance of the applications
  • He/she will be responsible as the single point of contact to the client for the SQL Server
  • He/she will be responsible for onshore/offshore coordination

 

 

Qualifications

 

 

  • This is a hands-on position requiring solid technical skills as well as excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • 10 years of experience in onshore/offshore coordination, database administration, operations, and production support
  • Experience in database and application performance tuning
  • Experience with SQL and PL/SQL
  • Experience in Monitoring, Back up/ Recovery Management, DB Provisioning/de-provisioning, DB refresh/restore, HA/DRE, Patching, migration, replication, and upgrades
  • Ability to document solutions and train operational teams
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Flexible, team player, get-it-done personality
  • Ability to organize and plan work independently
  • Ability to multi-task and context-switch effectively between different activities and teams
