SQL Server DBA

Responsibilities

The SQL Server DBA will be responsible for the implementation, configuration, maintenance, and performance of critical DB servers, to ensure the availability and consistent performance of the applications
He/she will be responsible as the single point of contact to the client for the SQL Server
He/she will be responsible for onshore/offshore coordination

Qualifications

This is a hands-on position requiring solid technical skills as well as excellent interpersonal and communication skills
10 years of experience in onshore/offshore coordination, database administration, operations, and production support
Experience in database and application performance tuning
Experience with SQL and PL/SQL
Experience in Monitoring, Back up/ Recovery Management, DB Provisioning/de-provisioning, DB refresh/restore, HA/DRE, Patching, migration, replication, and upgrades
Ability to document solutions and train operational teams
Excellent written and verbal communication
Flexible, team player, get-it-done personality
Ability to organize and plan work independently
Ability to multi-task and context-switch effectively between different activities and teams
