SQL Server DBA/Database Architect

Summary: The candidate will be responsible for the development and sustainment of the SQL Server 2019 environment and reporting applications, writing SQL stored procedures, ensuring their operational readiness (security, health and performance), executing data loads, and performing data modeling in support of multiple development teams.

Must be capable of working independently and collaboratively. 

Responsibilities:               

The SQL Server DBA responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:   

• 10+ years of experience as a Database Administrator for Microsoft Server.
• Exposure to administrate Mongo DB is a plus.
• Develop SQL queries and procedures, create custom reports, and modify existing queries and reports to enhance organizational productivity
• Knowledge of SSIS, SSRS, SSAS and Master Data Services (including data profiling) would be huge help.
• Familiarity with Power BI and R would be helpful
• Install and configure new SQL Servers 2019, and support a handful of 2016 instances
• Ensure all database servers are backed up in a way that meets the business’s Recovery Point Objectives (RPO)
• Test backups to ensure we can meet the business’ Recovery Time Objectives (RTO)
• Work with developers to optimize database performance
