Job Title: SQL Server Developer

Duration: 12 Months

Pay rate: $50/hr

Only Local consultants.

The agency is looking for a programmer with experience developing Transact-SQL (T-SQL, SQL Server) queries, including complex joins, views, stored procedures, to join the Data Modernization Initiative (DMI) project team to help convert VB-based validation code to SQL statements.

The programmer will be working closely with the business users and the agency IT staff, reviewing the VB code in the legacy data portal, and converting the validation code to SQL statements.

Job Description

Experience developing Transact-SQL (T-SQL, SQL Server) queries, including complex joins, views, stored procedures

Experience developing data-intensive applications with SQL database back-end; -- preferred but not required

Knowledgeable about various SDLC methodologies, Visual Basic programming language, and Transact-SQL (T-SQL, SQL Server) queries, including complex joins, views, stored procedures;

Responsible for converting VB-based validation code to SQL statements.

Responsible for coding of modules, ensure code developed meets coding standards and meets the identified requirements; - preferred but not required

Helps in defining coding standards; -- preferred but not required

Assists junior programmers with their tasks and provides necessary coaching and guidance;- preferred but not required

Responsible for the interface implementation; - preferred but not required

Preferred Education and Experience

Bachelor's Degree and four (4) plus years of programming experience or equivalent.

4+ years of experience developing data-intensive applications with SQL database back-end

4+ years developing Transact-SQL (T-SQL, SQL Server) queries, including complex joins, views, stored procedures

Visual Basic experience strongly preferred
