Job Title:- SR. SQL Server Resource (Data warehouse, Business Intelligence)

Location:- Bridgewater, NJ (Onsite 3 days week at first, Then more remote after)

Duration:- 12+ months

Job Description:- 

Planned projects:


- Upgrade VM SQL Server 2012 in Azure (End of support since 2022) to SQL Server 2019/2022
- New SAP ERP data source and replace current (planned for mid-year 2024) with all ETLs
- AWS Redshift technology change to SnowPark technology which impacts current ETL loads as data source (planned for end of May 2024)
- Query and storage performance to reduce MS Azure costs (if time permits) Challenges:
- Future Azure SQL Server and PaaS or IaaS
o Need of readiness evaluation for SSIS/SSAS/SSRS/SQL database
- Future of SSIS and current ETLs
o Alternatives like MS Power BI Query, Power BI dataflows, Azure Data Factory, Databricks
- Future of Multidimensional Analysis Services 2019/2022
o Tabular model
- Temp SQL resource must show deep development/programming knowledge in older technology SQL Server 2012 and modern cloud-based data warehouse/business intelligence systems from Microsoft


Job Details:


- Full responsibility with supervision of new development tasks to enable future functionality of current data warehouse and reports in newer technology for above projects
- Organizing technical and end user testing for final deployment to different technical environments with Andreas Mehlberg
- Creating and maintaining technical and end user documentation if needed

o Microsoft Reporting Services 2012 plus 2019/2022 (Mandatory)
 SQL Server Data Tools and Report Designer/Manager
 Able to create reports over different data sources (relational, multidimensional)
o Microsoft Analysis Services 2012 plus 2019/2022 (Mandatory)
 SQL Server Data Tools and Dimension/Cube Designer
 Able to create different types of hierarchies and relationships
 Able to create OLAP cubes with MDX calculations and different designs
 Able to apply different security models
 Able to deploy to different SQL Server environments
o Microsoft Integration Services 2012 plus 2019/2022 (Mandatory)
 SQL Server Data Tools and SSIS package design
 Able to create control and data flows
 Able to apply different package deployment models
o Microsoft SQL Server 2012 database administration plus 2019/2022 (Mandatory) 

o Strong T-SQL language (querying and programming) (Mandatory)
 Able to create/maintain SQL Server procedures, indexes, constraints, partitions, triggers, CTEs, temporary tables and more on Microsoft Power BI (Preferable)
 Able to create data models, power queries, DAX and visualizations of Data modeling (Mandatory)
 Star schema/Kimball
 Normalization and denormalization
 Multiple fact tables
 Multiple date tables to Source Control solution (Not Mandatory)
 Able to deploy software
