Summary:
- Depending on the phase within the life cycle of a project, the BSA could be working on one or more of the following throughout the day.
- Working with the Customer areas to elicit, define, and document user requirements to meet a business objective.
- Partnering with the Customers and I/S areas (such as Development, Testing, Client, Project Management... etc.,) to validate requirements and organize the information so that it is clear and understood by everyone.
- Validating that the proposed solution satisfies the business requirements.
- Assisting both I/S and Customer areas in “connecting the dots” regarding the business & operational impacts; the requirements and the solution for the application/system.
- Ensuring the accurate deployment of solutions through review of issues, validating test plans, and other analysis activities.
- Assisting in the development and documentation of training materials to train the Customer testers and trainers.

Minimum required work experience:

Job/class description:
- Defines customer needs in technical and business contexts. Ensure the proposed technical and business solutions meet the customer's objectives for the work effort. Provide guidance with planning and prioritization of business analysis activities in support of large project and support efforts.
- Elicit and document user requirements to meet a business objective. Identify and validate requirements and organize the information into a logical document using business analysis models that is understood by the customer and Information Systems.
- Respond to questions and ensure understanding of why the business solution was chosen. Guide both technical and customer departments in the development of the systems

Work environment:
- The team is comprised of Business Systems Analysts that each work on individual projects to support the various applications within the Digital and Leveraged Systems Area
Required education/equivalencies:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or other job-related degree;
- OR, Associate’s degree in CS, BA, or other job-related degree plus 2 years of work-related experience;
- OR, 4 years job-related work experience (total 10 years without a degree)
