Sr Cloud Engineer

This position will report to the Senior Manager, Cloud Infrastructure and will be a member of the team that provides designs, engineering support, implementations and 24x7 support of the technology infrastructure that supports a global incident response team. The Infrastructure Engineering Team is a pivotal program to secure its information assets, services, and the products that depend on them, building trust with customers and stakeholders and protecting the privacy of customers.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Implement Security best practices for both traditional and cloud environments.

• Design, implement and maintain Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipeline solutions to support Infrastructure as Code (IaC) deployments.

• Support the management of Hybrid infrastructures using Azure, AWS and some on-prem solutions.

• Participate in and contribute to the solution engineering process.

• Produce, evaluate, and improve on operational processes, procedures, and documentation.

• Collaborate with teams in other locations to ensure the reliable performance of integrated security solutions across the Sony operating companies.

• Support other groups within the organization to maintain availability and proper operation of the infrastructure.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR POSITION

• A degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Cyber Security, Information Technology, or related subject matter is preferred.

• Minimum of 7+ years of experience in one or more of the following areas like IT, information security, computer science or related field

• Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) solutions, terraform required.

• Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) is required and Azure, with certifications preferred.

• Experience with configuration management solutions, SaltStack or Ansible preferred.

• Experience with container orchestration and lifecycle management, Kubernetes and EKS preferred.

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools for automating infrastructure as code (IaC), GitLab preferred.

• Experience with project management, preferable Agile management approaches and tools

• Experience supporting Hybrid architectures and cloud migrations.

• Solid understanding of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and infrastructure automation approaches

• Working knowledge of networking technologies and protocols; including TCP/IP and standard Internet related protocols

• Hands on experience with scripting languages (python or others) is required.

• Exposure to other Cloud environments such as Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Office 365 is a plus.
