Sr Data Analyst

Job Description:
We are seeking a Data Analyst with good database skills. To be successful in this role, you must have good data modeling and data mapping skills. You will dig into our existing data models and map that data to our new applications in NoSQL and Mongo.

Responsibilities:
• Take ownership and champion data topics and interact with business leaders to achieve the desired results.
• Develop data analytics competencies in the team and drive out the analytics capability.
• Analyze our existing complex data sets in-depth for discovery purposes, issues, and trends/patterns. Make independent judgments and recommendations regarding appropriate changes.
• Create new frameworks to collect data, including automated data collection
• Assess large datasets to determine the relevant data needed.
• Query and report on corporate and financial datasets in corporate data warehouse (GreenPlum and Snowflake).
• Partner with Data Warehouse team to manage relevant datasets in corporate data warehouse (GreenPlum and Snowflake).
• Monitor the daily running of the production data modeling and mapping.
• Manage data-related interventions through to resolution.
• Create and maintain various data products and new products and applications, with a focus on RDBMS and MONGO or NoSQL.

Minimum Qualifications:
• Eight years of progressive professional experience as a Data Analyst
• Working knowledge of statistics
• Must have deep skills in data modeling, dimensional modeling, data mapping, and gap analysis
• Deep skills in and experience working with data and data mapping in a RDBMS environment
• Experience organizing and working with analytics user groups, developers, testers, and collaborating with stakeholders
• Experience obtaining strategic and detailed analytics requirements
• Excellent data analysis skills (investigation, modeling, mapping, and gap analysis)

Preferred Skills and Experience:
• Prior work with NoSQL databases
• Prior work with MONGO databases
• Experience working in banking or financial services
• Experience working with developers in a cloud-native environment
• Experience with machine learning & AI (preferred)
• Experience in Atlassian’s product suite preferred (JIRA and Confluence)
