Position: Sr. Data Engineer

Description: 

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Azure + Scala Cloud Engineer to join our team in Redmond, WA. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cloud computing, specifically with Microsoft Azure, and a solid understanding of Scala programming. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable cloud-based solutions to meet the growing needs of our business.

Experience:

• 5+ years of experience in cloud engineering with a focus on Microsoft Azure.
• 3+ years of experience in Scala development.
• Proven experience in designing and deploying cloud solutions in Azure.
• Hands-on experience with microservices architecture, distributed systems, and RESTful APIs.
• Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines and automation tools.

Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in Scala and related frameworks.
• In-depth knowledge of Azure services and best practices.
• Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform or Azure Resource Manager (ARM) templates.
• Knowledge of database systems like Azure SQL, Cosmos DB, or similar.
• Strong understanding of networking, security, and compliance in cloud environments.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certification in Microsoft Azure (e.g., Azure Solutions Architect, Azure Developer Associate).
• Experience with big data technologies such as Apache Spark, Hadoop, or similar.
• Familiarity with other programming languages like Python, Java, or JavaScript.
