"C#/Java is negotiable. However, I think I mentioned in our previous discussions that this person needs to be a developer along side being a data scientist. The day to day may be working on algorithms, or working on a specific piece of code. Generally, data scientists that only know Python are Data Scientists first, and then use Python because it gets them to where they need to be. Ideally, we would find people that are both Data Scientists and Python (because it is the language of data science), but also has some background in working in-depth in a development environment. C# and Java will flag that they also have development experience, though they could also be expert Python developers without it. It's just hard to tell. So I know we're asking for a lot, but we want someone that is a real data scientist working on real data scientist things with also ideally some sort of traditional developer background.”
