Sr. Database Engineer

Job Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

•Lead Development team in DBA related activities and provide suppor for Oracle 19c databases

•Coordinate and manage migration of on-premises database to AWS cloud services.

•Perform Oracle database administration; analyze and optimize database performance utilizing indexes and dynamic tables to improve application response time.

•Maintain, upgrade, test and implement patches and security measures to safeguard Oracle databases.

•Modify existing database structures to support new requirements for government applications.

• Ability to write Adhoc SQL queries/scripting is desirable

Required Education and Qualifications:

•Bachelor’s or higher degree in Software Engineering, Computer of Information Systems, or related field

•5-7 years of relevant experience including 5+ years Oracle database administration experience

•Amazon Web Service (AWS) experience, experience with migration of databases to Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2) or Relational Database Service (RDS) a plus

•1 – 5 years of experience working with large scale applications

•Experience with database structures, table maintenance and familiarity with data manipulation

•Current IAT II or higher 8570 certification (e.g. Security+)

•Ability to obtain Secret Clearance

Desired Qualifications:

•Previous experience with the USAF

•Experience with performing DISA STIG checks

•Experience with administrating Oracle Access Manager (OAM), APEX, and Oracle Analytics Suite (OAS)

•Demonstrated experience with UNIX system commands (e.g., mv, cp, rm, grep, vi) and the ability to troubleshoot system, application, and network issues
