Sr Database Management (AWS/SQL)

For the Database Management role you will:
• Executes creative software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problems
• Develops secure and high-quality production code, and reviews and debugs code written by others
• Identifies opportunities to eliminate or automate remediation of recurring issues to improve overall operational stability of software applications and systems
• Leads evaluation sessions with external vendors, startups, and internal teams to drive outcomes-oriented probing of architectural designs, technical credentials, and applicability for use within existing systems and information architecture
• Leads communities of practice across Software Engineering to drive awareness and use of new and leading-edge technologies
• Adds to team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
• Experience: 10 - 12 years
stack:
- RDBMS Databases: AWS Cloud Databases experience is a must (Aurora PostgreSQL - Preferred OR Oracle RDS)
- Any NoSQL Databases: Cassandra OR MongoDB OR DynamoDB etc
- Automation: Experience with Scripting languages (Shell Scripting OR Python OR Java Scripting or NodeJS), AWS Lambda
- Experience with Open source software technologies
- Experience with Teraform or AWS Cloudformation for provisioning cloud services
- Experience with managaing large enterprise databases, troubleshooting database and performance issues

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
• Hands-on practical experience in database administration across various DB technologies
• Experience in deploying, debugging and maintaining databases in an enterprise environment - SQL and NOSQL databases
