Common log in shared services team- work across lines (individual investors, retirement plans, etc), big portfolio of applications
Team is responsible for front end experience when you log in
This role is DA oriented- has agile experience who can step in quickly
Intermediate to strong on a SQL- someone who can quickly pick up the IT Management space (called uber in their system)
How to track users across systems in their space
Someone who can come in, learn the data model and how they interact, and hit the ground running
Ideal if candidate has experience with not specifically site design, but is familiar with working with front end data points
Need is more specific to running with sql and data analysis tasks
Postgres experience would be valuable
8-10 years of experience minimum
Some from scratch sql creation but not a developer- more modifying but complex sql is required
A candidate who would be strong might have snowflake/snaplogic/etl experience as well (nice to haves)
Interview process- 2 or 3 members on the call, some tech screening component
Summary:

The main function of a Technical Analyst is to coordinate changes to computer databases, test, and implement the database applying knowledge of database management systems.

Job Responsibilities

Work with senior management, technical and client teams in order to determine data requirements, business data implementation approaches, best practices for advanced data manipulation, storage and analysis strategies
Write and code logical and physical database descriptions and specify identifiers of database to management system or direct others in coding descriptions
Design, implement, automate and maintain large scale enterprise data ETL processes
Modify existing databases and database management systems and/or direct programmers and analysts to make changes
Test programs or databases, correct errors and make necessary modifications

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering or related field required
8-10 years applicable experience required

Required Skills

5+ years Tandem/Cobol Development Experience
Must have Proficiency in: COBOL, Pathway, TACL, Enscribe, FUP, SCUP, Peruse, Inspect, Netbatch
Understanding of Legacy Systems best practices
Proven ability to analyze and understand existing processes and code
Mainframe Background a plus

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

Coordinates development activities to be assigned to a team of 1-5 developers
Develops system requirement specifications for medium to large program segments
Develops detailed system requirement specifications
Develops Technical Design Document
Codes applications, databases, interface programs
Conduct peer review (Unit Test)
Creates Unit Test cases
Documents code (comments)
Documents system functionality
Troubleshoots and updates code to address defects and enhancements
Does hands-off of development back and forth to vendor organization; ensures consistency and quality
Knowledge of the ETL process
Knowledge of at least one scripting language
Strong written and oral communication skills
Strong troubleshooting and problem solving skills
Demonstrated history of success
Desire to be working with data and helping businesses make better data driven decisions
