Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer to join our DevSecOps team in a 9-month contract role supporting Eligibility Supporting Technology applications. This position focuses on enhancing CI/CD principles, automating processes, and optimizing batch jobs to ensure seamless application deployments and operations across development, test, training, and production environments. The engineer will analyze current technologies, develop and implement scalable solutions, design and enhance advanced CI/CD pipelines, automate processes to improve efficiency and minimize errors, and use configuration management tools for updates and fixes. This role includes providing on-call support (day/night/weekend) to ensure high availability, supporting production releases and sprint activities, documenting processes and solutions, troubleshooting issues, and developing enterprise-level automation frameworks while proposing plans for new initiatives. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, works with minimal direction, and demonstrates initiative and independent judgment.

Minimum Requirements:

  • 10 Years of experience automating the full lifecycle of enterprise IT environments using IaC, CaC, and CI/CD tools (e.g., IBM WebSphere, MQ, Oracle products, AWS).
  • 10 Years experience designing and implementing scalable, repeatable, and recoverable automation solutions.
  • 10 Years of advanced expertise using tools such as Terraform, Terragrunt, Ansible Automation Platform, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, and Liquibase.
  • 8 Years of experience programming with Python, GoLang, Shell, Ruby, Bash, Perl, or similar scripting languages.
  • 8 years of experience with containers and container orchestration platforms like Kubernetes, PODMAN, Docker EE/OpenShift/Rancher; experience with Helm Charts and Kustomize.
  • 8 Years of proficiency in Linux and Windows operating systems.
  • 8 Years of experience designing and implementing solutions using the AWS Well-Architected Framework.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Skills:

  • 5 Years of development experience with Java, J2EE, Spring Boot, EJB, JSP, JSF/Struts, and XML.

5 Years experience with tools like WebSphere ND, MQ, Oracle, SQL tools (PL/SQL developer, SQL Plus), LDAP, Splunk, and Dynatrace
