Position: Sr Electrical Engineer
Location- Melbourne, FL (5 days/week onsite)
Duration- 12 months

Job Description:
We are looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer to support our Combat Mission Systems business in the area of ground combat vehicles.
The candidate will work closely with one or more of our electronics suppliers to provide electrical engineering support in the manufacture of printed circuit board assembly (PCBA)/circuit card assembly (CCA) and the associated system Line Replaceable Unit (LRU) enclosures for one of our combat vehicle systems.
The selected candidate will be co-located with assigned suppliers to ensure an ongoing high-level of production quality is met.
The primary supplier location for this position is Melbourne, Florida, USA. The engineer must have experience in the design and manufacture of PCBAs/CCAs and will help resolve supplier quality and manufacturing process concerns in direct support of production.
The engineer will investigate, evaluate, and support the resolution of supplier quality problems by conducting defect investigations, analyzing defect trends, and leading continuous improvement projects.
Strong communication skills are required to ensure suppliers understand requirements and expectations; make progress reports and p
resent findings.
The role requires familiarity with, and experience in, IPC-A-600 and IPC J-STD-001, as well as subordinate IPC standards/guidelines.
A working knowledge of IPC-A-610 and IPC-A-620 are also strongly desired. Expected Travel requirement:
Additionally, the candidate will: • Support team led problem solving and root-cause analysis activities with assigned supplier to eliminate recurrence of non-conformances.
Evaluate the impact of nonconforming product and assess suppliers’ corrective actions.
Help suppliers with process improvements to ensure to resolve manufacturing process concerns.
At least 5 years of work experience in a relevant function and industry;
Working knowledge and familiarity with IPC-A-600, IPC J-STD-001;
Exposure to Failure Analysis, Root Cause Analysis and Corrective/ Preventative Actions
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or Related Technical Discipline
