Description:
The Analyst role involves analyzing and evaluating business requirements, consulting with personnel from various departments, and identifying areas for the development of technical solutions to automate and/or improve business processes. The Analyst will provide recommendations on new or enhanced systems, software, upgrades, and modifications. This is a fully seasoned professional level capable of independently carrying out most assignments typical of the profession.

Supervision Received:
Works under very general supervision. Depending on the organization structure, may work independently with responsibility for an assigned function or program.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Analyzes complex business problems to be solved with automated systems.
  • Provides technical expertise in identifying, evaluating, and developing systems and procedures that are cost-effective and meet user requirements.
  • Configures system settings and options.
  • Plans and executes business unit, integration, and acceptance testing.
  • Creates specifications for systems to meet business requirements.
  • Designs details of automated systems.
  • May provide consultation to users regarding automated systems.

Decision Making:
Selects from multiple procedures and methods to accomplish tasks. Applies organizational policies and may interpret organizational policies and recommend exceptions. Establishes work methods, timetables, performance standards, etc.

Leadership Provided:
Routinely provides work group leadership, guidance, and/or training to less experienced staff. May lead cross-functional teams to address business issues and opportunities.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Extensive knowledge of concepts, processes, and tools of the profession.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications – Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science (equivalent professional experience may be considered for substitution for the required degree on an exception basis).
  • 5 years of specific ERP work experience, preferably with Oracle Time & Labor (OTL) and TCP Timeclocks.

Preferred Education & Experience:

  • Master’s degree in computer science (equivalent professional experience may be considered for substitution for the master’s degree on an exception basis) with 5 – 8 years directly related professional experience
