Responsibilities:
- Authors Technical Designs (TDs) that define how a functional design will be technically enabled
- Create Mappings/workflows to perform data loads from source to target databases/applications using Informatica PowerCenter as specified in Technical Designs.
- Create and maintain database storage structures and objects where required
- Design and implement appropriate error handling procedures
- Develops Unit Test Plans to test Informatica PowerCenter programs and completes QA Peer.
- Create deployment group to migrate the ETL jobs from Development to Production environment.
- Schedule the jobs in production environment by requesting the maestro job by providing the job information and dependencies for it.
- Migrate the database objects, parameter files and shell scripts to production.
- Need to work with external Vendors and internal IT support team in setting up SFTP and Rest APIs to send or receive files.
- Provide input and technical-direction to development teams to ensure they follow best practices and appropriate standards
- Work with other team members to ensure standards around monitoring and management of the Informatica environment within the context of existing enterprise monitoring solutions
- Develop high priority ETL solutions
- Need to do peer-to-peer code review for newly developed ETL code.
- Assist in Performance Tuning of ETL Processes to provide optimal performance under ever-increasing data volumes.
Degree Requirement:
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Information Systems, or a closely related field, or a combination of education and experience equating to the U.S. equivalent of a Bachelor’s degree in one of the aforementioned subjects
