Sr. Linux Admin with Ansible

Job Description

· Support the Linux environment for the database team.

· Development of user documentation and guidelines.

· Development of presentation material.

· Investigate, collaborate, and resolve production jobs and job failures.

· Support weekend maintenance activities to apply changes during non-peak hours.

· Provide input to continuous improvement of Linux Administration and Support.

Detailed Skills Requirements

Basic Qualifications:

· Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field

· 7+ years of experience with Linux Administration

· Masters or Doctorate degree may substitute for required experience

Required Skills:

· Excellent communication and written skills.

· Proficiency in Linux Patching/upgrading

· Proficiency with Linux commands and shell scripting

· Proficiency with Linux troubleshooting

· Proficiency with Ansible and Ansible Tower

· Proficiency in High Availability and Disaster Recovery

· Proficiency in Linux Performance Tuning

Desired Skills:

· Solid working knowledge of AWS

· Experience supporting databases running on Linux.

· Experience with working with Federal Government clients.

Education

· Master's degree and 5+ years of experience in a training-related field or bachelor's degree and 7+ years of experience in a training-related field

· Must be able to obtain a Public Trust
