Sr. Network Architect

Technical Resource MUST have:

a. Ten (10) or more years’ Experience with Cisco Voice/Collaboration technologies
b. US Citizenship with ability to obtain IRS Staff-like approval through the IRS background investigation process
c. One or more Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert Certification(s) (CCIE) in Collaboration or Voice, at a minimum, and Data Center and/or Route/Switch



Selected Responsibilities but not limited to:

• Plan and Implement Phase 1 (dual stack IPv4/v6) and Phase 2 (IPv6 only) of the Federal IPv6 mandate
• Plan and Implement UC Phone Firmware/SW/HW Upgrade required to support IPv6 and 802.1x
• Participate in ongoing Security Review & Optimization programs managed by IRS CSIRC
• Participate in Filing Season Reading Configuration Review planning, especially for Gateways/CUBEs and CUCM Servers
• Validation of wiring between FIs, UCS chassis, NetApp storage and core switches
• Configuration of FIs and UCS per the Cisco compatibility matrix for UCS SW and firmware versions
• Verification of the resource inventory on deployed blades
• Proactive health checks across the calling infrastructure
• Replication of service profiles from existing UCS to new UCS
• VMware upgrades
• UCS upgrades
