Sr. Network Engineer

Job Description:

The Sr. Network Engineer is responsible for monitoring the data communications network through the use of console-based event management tools to ensure that the network is available to all system users.   

Qualifications:

•   Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Management or a related field

•   Must have strong written and verbal skills (English language)

•   5+ years of related network operations experience, cybersecurity engineering experience a plus

•   Strong background in Cisco, Silverpeak, routing/switching and firewall configuration

•   Experienced in leading complex network projects

•   Familiarity with Data Center Infrastructure

•   Strong understanding of MPLS, BGP, TCP/IP, and IPv4/6

•   Strong understanding of Wireless technologies

•   Strong troubleshooting skills and proven track record of getting your hands dirty to cut through ambiguity and fix network problems.

•   Industry certifications relevant to the role such as: CCNP, CCIE, SPSP, CISSP

•   Experience with firewalls (Cisco (Sourcefire/Firepower/FTD)

•   Good understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, SSL)

•   Experience with security processes and documentation

•   Experience with logging technologies (Rapid7)

•   Experience with infrastructure monitoring technologies (Solarwinds)

•   Good scripting and automation skills (Python, PowerShell)

•   Experience with Cloud environments (Azure, AWS)

•   Experience with Network Access Control solutions (Cisco ISE)
