Position: DBA

Duration: 6 month contract to hire

Location: Birmingham, AL (Hybrid)

Alabama Power DBA

• Relevant and applicable BS/BA in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Engineering, Math, or 10+ years of experience??
• Proven experience as a Database Administrator with a focus on Oracle and PostgreSQL.
• Prior experience with performance analysis, performance tuning and with debugging, identifying and fixing performance issues.
• Experience installing, patching, upgrading, and maintaining Oracle database.
• Knowledge of AD (Active Directory) Authentication and the ability to utilize MFA (Multi Factor Authentication) is essential.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to quickly grasp new concepts, incorporate innovations, and stay up to date with industry and business directions.
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.?? 

Years of experience: 4-8 years of Oracle, minimum 3-5 years of PostgreSQL
D2D Responsibilities: To replicate the Advanced Distribution Management System (ADMS), which is a legacy GE product, to Oracle. Conduct an audit for user access. (60% Oracle PL/SQL, 40% PostgreSQL
