Description

Big 3 –
Pharmacy benefit management experience, data analytics BI, software product management
Data bi analytics is #1
Pharmacy benefit 2
Software product management 3

  • If they have software and data bi analytics but not pharmacy – still might be good candidate

If they have the other 2 – any software experience would be fine

Project:
Pharmacy Benefit Management, PBM
CVS is three companies mushed into 1 – this is on the pharmacy benefits side
All pharmacies carve out a medical plan – your health plan is not paying for those pharmacy claims – CVS Caremark, Optum, and Client are big 3
In the reporting space, data and reporting, we are a mess
Data is all over the place, front end all over the place – sometimes our clients will get 2 different reports saying different things
Working to fix that

From a business standpoint, he owns the overall front end for PBM client reporting
Embarking on project to consolidate all those front ends into one, half dozen right now, this is multi year project

Senior Product Manager –
Software oriented
Sits on business side
Right now HM works for finance VP that is where data and reporting and PBM resides
Role is product management – software oriented
Going to be assessing existing reporting capabilities, existing reports that are out there
Assessing new predictive modeling and new analytics we don't do today
They will assess that from business standpoint, ex. What value it gives to our customers and clients , turn that into user stories, requirements, epics for our technology team to execute
That is why he says software oriented – building a front end – browser based software – unique in finance – not just about numbers but also about front end, the look and feel
Will be product managers for software
10-15 years
Seniors – take on larger breath of product – 5/6 different reporting pillars – predictive modeling – understand what new models we have, good at math will help – it is about complexity of what they own
