Duties

The Senior Quality Assurance Analyst shall provide Information Technology QA consultant services to NYCERS for the completion of NYCERS’ ongoing business process improvement program. The following descriptions and deliverables shall apply:
Role: A Senior QA Analyst must understand the business requirements for all of NYCERS’ business processes and will also gather and analyze data in support of business cases, proposed projects and ensure the application satisfies documented requirements. Also, develop and establish quality assurance standards and measures for the information technology services within the organization.
Objective: A Senior QA Analyst will determine if manual or automated testing is needed for an application and develops test plan, test cases and test scripts to carry out the various aspects of testing. Senior QA Analyst will collaborate with Business Analysts and if needed with users to verify and validate results.
Deliverables: A QA Analyst is responsible for the following:

1. Test plan, Test cases, Test scripts, Test Execution results, Test Summary report
2. Identify and document defects,
3. Track and report on defects, and

Requirements

  • This is an 100% Onsite
  • Minimum of 7 years of QA Analyst experience with at least 2 years of recent experience as a Senior QA Analyst testing workflow processing, evaluating business rules, data quality, internet applications with expertise in Agile, Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodologies. The candidate must have a certain level of business acumen coupled with technical knowledge.
  • Experience in preparing effort estimations and conducting all aspects of testing; STLC, functional, regression, access privileges and System performance and certify the release of workflows into UAT.
  • Experience defining project scope and technical specifications, set clear goals and expectations, prioritize activities, facilitate the collection of technical, operational, or business requirements, set milestones and follow through to successful completion.
  • Experience in multi-tasking multiple priorities.
  • Experience presenting projects to upper management and the ability to present complex ideas clearly and persuasively.
  • Ability to simulate and execute integrated and isolated tests to analyze results, leveraging CRUD operations on large volumes of raw data using SQL.
  • Experience with Functional test Automation tools.
  • Ability to use MS-Office specifically Microsoft Word, Project, Excel, Visio & PowerPoint.
  • JIRA, Zephyr or similar test Management tools.
  • Strong documentation skills in software defects or program functions and tracking resolutions.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills including negotiation, problem resolution and customer service.
  • Must have outstanding written and verbal communication skills including the ability to communicate effectively with people regardless of their technical skill set.
  • Good knowledge of automation test scripting.
  • Certification as Certified Software Test Professional (CSTP) or Certified Software Quality Analyst (CSQA), or Certified associate in software quality (CASQ) or ISTQB.  certified as CTFL (Foundation Level) or CTAL (Advanced Level) or CTEL (Expert Level).  At least one certification must have.       

   Preferred:

  • Experience testing complex enterprise applications involving Legacy systems
  • Experience with Workflow systems.
  • Experience in legacy system migration projects.
  • Experience in Public Pension Systems.
  • Experience working in major multi-year projects
  • Experience testing CRM systems like Salesforce, MS Dynamics
  • Experience with Load Test and Performance Tools like Load Runner, JMeter
  • Experience of Mobile Testing tools like Appium, Test Grid


 

Education

Any Graduate
