What are we looking for?
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced UX Writer to join our team at SentinelOne. As the sole UX Writer, you will play a critical role in establishing the tools and processes necessary to ensure a consistent and high-quality user experience across our products. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including designers, product managers, engineers, technical writers, and researchers, to create engaging and effective user-centered content.
What will you do?
- Establish and lead the UX writing discipline at SentinelOne, working closely with stakeholders to develop and refine the company's UX writing strategy and guidelines.
- Define and implement tools and processes for UX writing to ensure consistency and scalability across multiple products and platforms.
- Create style guides for UX content, including the establishment of a common tone and voice.
- Collaborate with designers, product managers, and engineers to understand user needs and translate complex technical concepts into clear, concise, and user-friendly content that enhances the overall user experience.
- Conduct content audits and usability tests to identify areas for improvement and iterate on existing content to optimize its effectiveness.
- Drive the creation and maintenance of product-specific UX writing assets, such as microcopy, user interface (UI) text, tooltips, error messages, and onboarding materials.
- Champion user-centered design principles and advocate for the importance of UX writing within the organization, fostering a culture of empathy and clarity in all user interactions.
- Define, implement, and oversee localization workflows and processes for UX content.
- Collaborate with the localization team to ensure that content is effectively adapted for different languages and cultures while maintaining its intended meaning and impact.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies related to UX writing and user experience design, sharing insights and knowledge with the team.
What skills and knowledge should you bring?
- 10+ years of professional experience, including at least 5 years of UX writing experience in a large-scale environment, or for enterprise products.
- Proven experience as a UX writer in the cybersecurity or technology industry.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating exceptional UX writing skills, with samples of user interface copy, instructional content, and other relevant materials.
- Expertise in creating clear, concise, and user-centric content for digital products and platforms, taking into account industry best practices and accessibility guidelines.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders at various levels of the organization.
- Experience working with localization teams and workflows.
- Proficiency in industry-standard UX writing and content management tools.
- Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Familiarity with agile development methodologies and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

This U.S. role has a base pay range that will vary based on the location of the candidate. For some
locations, a different pay range may apply. If so, this range will be provided to you during the recruiting

Base Salary Range
$156,000—$215,000 USD
