Description

Summary:

Work within advanced engineering groups in validating advanced vehicle control systems. Testing work encompasses the verification for hybrid electric vehicles and components (motors, drives, engines, generators, energy storage cells, etc.), autonomous vehicle systems, advanced suspensions, material handling and other auxiliary equipment for on-road and off-road applications.

 

Job Duties

·         These duties are not meant to be all-inclusive and other duties may be assigned.

·         Involved in the verification and testing of software and associated components for Oshkosh

·         vehicles.

·         Troubleshooting Battery Electric issues on the vehicle.

·         Perform analysis and create comprehensive test reports based on testing results.

·         Record and track software defects s to closure

 

Education and Experience:

·         Associate’s Degree with five (5) years of experience in engineering or equivalent*.

·         Possession of, or ability to attain Commercial Driver’s License (CDL).

·         Understanding of vehicle and system operations.

·         Foresight to address potential technical issues with vehicles and systems.

·         Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance

·         instructions, government regulations and procedure manuals.

·         Ability to adapt to a fast pace environment.

·         Detail oriented.

·         Verbal and written communication skills.

·         Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and schematics.

 

Desired:

·         Associate’s Degree with seven (7) years of experience in engineering or equivalent*.

·         Understanding of CAN, J1939

 

·         Proficient with CANalyzer, CANoe, INCA

Any Graduate
