What are we looking for?

For our team specialised we are looking for a SRE Manager, to be part of a team working close to one of our main clients.

This position can be performed 100% remote from any location in Spain.

Main Tasks And Accountabilities Will Be

 

• Lead a cross-functional group of engineers in applying Site Reliability Engineering principles to in-house developed applications.
• Optimise and reduce operational overheads through observability and service automation.
• Identify growth opportunities for your engineers on how to achieve their technical, business and personal goals.
• Troubleshoot architectural and technology issues within the team to determine effective solutions.
• Define and track Service Level Objectives (SLO) to measure service availability in combination with service, product and engineering communities.
• Collaborate with product and engineering managers to track workload priorities.
• Manage platforms that are performant, reliable, scalable and secure.
• Estimate, refine and prioritise your team's work within an agile environment.
• Strive for continuous improvement of platform health, compliance and resiliency. Seek opportunities to drive innovation within your team.
• Work with senior stakeholders to mature the concept of Site Reliability Engineering within the Client tech organisation. .

• You have experience in leading an engineering team to achieve business goals.
• You have a strong background in software/system engineering and architecture within the cloud.
• You have excellent knowledge in the software development lifecycle within a cloud based environment.
• You have strong knowledge of developing and managing RESTful API services written within a modern OO language such as Java or .Net.
• You have a technical aptitude for understanding complex distributed systems.
• You are a strong communicator and partner well across engineering to maximise inner-sourcing opportunities and reduce waste.
• You have proven workload management and organisational skills within an agile environment.
• You have excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills with the ability to work with multi-vendor technical and business teams.
• You are self-motivated with a hands-on approach to both development and management.
