Skills Needed:

• Required Active development in 2 languages a must - Python, plus Java or Javascript
• Working knowledge of Unix command line a must (ssh, scp, vi/nano, grep, awk, sed), Linux shell script development
• Solid communicator, adept at scope planning, communicates risks early, asks for help when stuck!
• Expert understanding of web technologies - HTTPS, headers, cookies, JSON, GraphQL, sessions, CDN, firewalls
• AWS/Azure IaC creating IAM policies/roles, VPC subnets/routes, ECS tasks, EC2/User Data, Quotas
• Development with containers, Python development, DockerFile creation
• Agile developer working with Jira, Git, Peer Review, and CI/CD

Important:

• Analysis of service response and error analysis from reporting to form recommendations
• Front-end scripting with HTML5, Javascript and CSS, for reporting
• Infrastructure As Code(IaC) tools - Pulumi, Teraform, CloudFormation
• Ability to understand complex multi-teired architectures for end-to-end journeys Single page and mobile application architecture and development
• Use of internal and 3 rd party APIs in development projects
• Mac OS*, command linen driven development, curl

Bonus:

• JMeter or similar load test scripting, platform agnostic Development or implementation of CI/CD pipelines
• Linux-based container development with Docker and Kubernetes, with GitLab, Jenkins, GitHub, etc.
• Experience in developing fully automated stacks in the cloud and CI/CD
• Use of Application Performance Monitoring tools such as Datadog, Splunk, ELK, Blue Triangle
