  • Java experience as a requirement, with Scala and Node.js as nice-to-haves.
    • Most of the more-critical apps are Java, but we have scala/node.js apps we’d like to support if possible
  • Datadog experience
    • DD/app integration, APM, dashboards, custom metrics, monitors, logging
  • AWS experience
    • Aurora, DynamoDB, Kinesis, Lambda, SQS, S3
  • Deployment pipeline technology
    • Spinnaker, Kubernetes
  • An operational efficiency-focused mindset
    • Preventing on-call incidents and improving developer incident response
    • Identifying problem areas through independent review and team feedback
    • Improving the monitoring and alerting of webservices, business workflows
    • Preventing bugs through automation, tooling, and SDLC improvements
