NVIDIA is seeking a Staff Engineer. As a Staff Engineer, your core responsibility is to uphold the performance, integrity, and security of Databases and Enterprise Applications. Person would be working on planning of base definition, structure, documentation, long-range requirements, operational guidelines, Workflow definitions, access provisioning, application sync failures. Establishes and maintains security and integrity controls. Formulates and monitors policies, procedures and standards relating to applications. Working collaboratively with teams such as Change Control, Release Management, Asset and Configuration Management, and Capacity and Availability Management, you help determine user requirements while also monitoring user access and security protocols. Your duties include managing access to environments by configuring permissions and privileges to ensure data integrity and confidentiality. 

 

This role encompasses aspects of support, engineering, and support engineering. Beyond traditional user support, you will be actively involved in engineering and streamlining our tools and systems. Additionally, you will contribute to the engineering of our support models and solutions on a global scale. 

 

What you’ll be doing: 

Engage with management and stakeholders to develop support objectives and streamline operations.

Identify and propose future processes across all NVIDIA product areas.

Execute plans to enhance day-to-day operational efficiency.

Perform regular database maintenance and proactively address performance issues.

Collaborate with development teams to optimize queries and application performance.

Provide comprehensive support for Exchange, SharePoint, and Active Directory management.

Manage Enterprise applications such as JIRA, Service Now, and Confluence.

Maintain various databases including Oracle, SQL Server, and MySQL.

Automate scripts for Exchange, AD, and Enterprise Applications.

Ensure data security, manage access, and conduct backup/recovery tasks

 

What we need to see

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience). 

Broad knowledge and understanding of DB applications and infrastructure.  

Experience with Exchange Related issues and Requests. 

Config Management for Enterprise applications and business applications 

Previous experience with TDE encryption as well as troubleshooting Kerberos issues; strong experience with Azure Cloud support \ migration tasks is preferred.  

Ability to provide support in a 24 x 7 environment. 

Demonstrated ability to assess Business needs, creatively approach solutions, decide, and influence appropriate courses of action. 

Experience with ticketing tools JIRA, Service Now etc. for reporting and analyzing data for effective outcomes. 

8+ years of experience in Information Technology Enterprise and Infrastructure engineering role.
