Full Stack Engineers at Fundwave work on our products. They work with peers on teams dedicated to areas of the product. They work together with product managers, designers, and other full stack engineers towards common goals. Full stack engineers work on entity modeling and database structures, APIs, all the way to designing modern web components and PWAs.

You've been a senior engineer for many years, and have been responsible for some aspects of the responsibilities of a staff engineer, as described below.
Staff Responsibilities
- Advocate for improvements to product quality, security, and performance that have particular impact across your team and others.
- Solve technical problems of the highest scope and complexity for your team.
- Exert significant influence on the overall objectives and long-range goals of your team.
- Shepherd the definition and improvement of our internal standards for style, maintainability, and best practices for a high-scale web environment. Maintain and advocate for these standards through code review.
- Drive innovation on the team with a willingness to experiment and to boldly confront problems of immense complexity and scope.
- Actively seek out difficult impediments to our efficiency as a team (“technical debt”), propose and implement solutions that will enable the entire team to iterate faster
- Represent Fundwave and its values in public communication around broad initiatives, specific projects, and community contributions. Interact with customers and other external stakeholders as a consultant and spokesperson for the work of your team.
- Provide mentorship for all Engineers on your team to help them grow in their technical responsibilities and remove blockers to their autonomy.
- Confidently ship large features and improvements with minimal guidance and support from other team members. Collaborate with the team on larger projects.

What Venture Capital knowledge does it take to get started at Fundwave?
You don't need a prior venture capital knowledge as long as you're a quick learner. Your friendly team members will share reading and materials to get you up to speed on how Venture Capital works. You'll model business processes, financial instruments used by Venture Capital funds and improve the way VC will operate in the future.
Is this an Individual Contributor role or a managerial role?
While your leadership competencies are absolutely essential to succeed at this role, this is a role for Individual Contributors who love to code and aren't ready to leave writing code anytime soon.
