Storage & Backup Administrator should Maintain essential IT operations, including operating systems, security tools, applications, servers, email systems, laptops, desktops, software, and hardware

Own projects, solutions, and key responsibilities as RFID/AFSAC Project Requirement. He should be able to diagnose and resolve problems quickly. He should also have the patience to communicate with a variety of interdisciplinary teams and users.

His goal will be to ensure that RFID/AFSAC Project Storage & Backup technology including infrastructure runs smoothly and efficiently.

Responsibilities

1. Ensure Navy/ RFID project Support Guides and related documentation is up-to-date
2. Able to work Day/Night shift  hours including facilitating incident calls, monitoring processes, and able to respond to technical calls from Mumbai DC to Delhi DR sites 
3. Fulfil Navy RFID project compliance tasks
4. Participate to support shift on Storage & Backup perimeter
5. Follow agreed Navy’s standards for Storage & Backup perimeter 
6. Perform daily monitoring and management of all backup related activities, including executing restore jobs, troubleshooting failed jobs, and initiating corrective action
7. Perform diagnosis, troubleshoot, and conduct root-cause analysis for any issues escalated on the storage and backup platforms
8. Participate in the building, installation, configuration and testing of servers, storage, and backup infrastructure for new use, upgrades or lifecycle replacement
9. Create and communicate reports for backup and storage environments
10. Expertise in High availability, DR fail over and failback configurations
11. End-user and crisis management
12. Knowledge of OS, Database, and Volume Management
13. Shell scripting, automation and tool implementations
14. Good understanding of heterogeneous multi technology environments, inter-operability issues
15. Understanding of Administer L1/L2 activities
16. Analysis of usage, performance data and reporting
