A Stress Analysis Engineer job with Belcan Engineering Group is currently available in Lexington, KY or via remote support. This job is a full-time direct or contract position. The position involves performing stress analysis in support of a variety of mechanical system and airframe structures.

Job Duties:
* Perform static, modal, and fatigue stress analysis in support of new designs, upgrades, and modifications to existing designs in support of mechanical systems and/or airframe structures
* Verify structural integrity using Finite Element Analysis (FEA) as well as classical hand stress analysis methods
* Create and review structural analysis result summary presentations and reports
* Attend meetings and coordination with customer
* Participate in mentoring of junior analysts as they develop their engineering skillsets
* Work under minimal direction

Required Qualifications:
* Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering
* Minimum five (5) years of experience performing structural analysis on airframe structures
* Experience performing structural analysis on mechanical systems
* Strong hand calculation skills and finite element analysis capabilities (Patran/Nastran)
* Experience with Boeing commercial aircraft
* Experience with Boeing stress tools: IAS, CSW, FAMOSS, FEADMS, MOSS Duberg, IDTAS, DTANL
* Strong emphasis on customer service
* Prior mentoring experience is required
* Must have good interpersonal skills and willing to work with others effectively
* Ability to communicate effectively in English, both orally and written
* Excellent Microsoft Office Suite experience
* Travel to customer locations as required
* Due to the nature of the work being done all applicants must be U. S. Citizens

Preferred: Qualifications:
* Experience using scripting languages (VBA, Python, etc)
* Experience using ENOVIA, LCA and CATIA V5
* Repairs or MRB experience
