What to Expect

Our structural modeling and designer lead all drawing production and Revit design deliverables for our local infrastructure group. This role supports our structural team with Revit design execution, detailed design drawings, model maintenance, and intradisciplinary model coordination. In this role you will support Client mission to accelerate the worlds transition to sustainable energy by building the facilities and infrastructure for large scale production lines and new product development.

What You’ll Do

Support the design and construction of a variety of new and renovations to existing industrial, manufacturing, and office facilities.

Production of drawings on AutoCAD/Revit for Structural. Prepare design drawings, plans, sections, details, and schedules.

Provide training and technical support on BIM projects using Autodesk REVIT

Coordinate structural modeling with multidiscipline project teams including Mechanical, Electrical, Piping/Plumbing (MEP) professionals.

Create initial REVIT project setup with workflow documents. Responsibility for the structural team’s development of project models

Work with the BIM/CAD support team to achieve consistent results and incorporate new design into the existing facility models.

Oversee daily model management, administration, and maintenance.

Assist with BIM custom content creation and tool development.

Develop and maintain structural CAD standards. Develop and mentor less experienced design staff.

Present 30% 60% 90% model reviews to stakeholders and multi-discipline teams. Complete field work independently or with the design team.

What You’ll Bring

Minimum 7 years of C&S drafting for building or Industrial projects

Proficient in Revit Structural and experienced with Navisworks.

Experience integrating REVIT products with other applications (Autodesk, Cost Estimation)

Experience developing BIM Content: Families - parametric, formula nested, type catalogs.

Experience working with vendors on content download and update to Company Standards

Experience supporting linked views and others in multiple models’ situations.

Willingness to work overtime to meet deadlines and ability to work with a diverse team.

Detail-oriented and technical yet experienced enough to see the big picture. Able to multi-task and be flexible/adapt to rapidly changing project requirements/timelines.

Ability to uphold the use of standards and escalate issues in a timely fashion. Self-directed, highly motivated self-starter with solid writing and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently with minimal oversight.

 

Preferred Qualifications/Experience

Diploma in Civil, Structural Engineering or ITE drafting certificate or equivalent.

Experience developing fabrication (LOD 400) level drawing packages.
