Position Summary
The Network Administrator is responsible for handling advanced-level support of Networking requests in a professional and timely manner. Network Administrator is a professional responsible for the maintenance, configuration, and reliable operation of an organization's computer networks.
Education and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Minimum 5 years’ Experience in Core Network Administration.
Job Description:
- Day-to-day operations management of network-related incidents and service requests.
- Network Maintenance and Monitoring: Perform regular network maintenance tasks, such as firmware upgrades, patch management, and performance optimization. Monitor network performance, capacity, and security to proactively identify and resolve issues, ensuring high availability and performance.
- Troubleshooting and Issue Resolution: Investigate and resolve network-related incidents, outages, and performance issues. Use network monitoring tools, diagnostic techniques, and collaboration with other IT teams to identify and rectify problems promptly.
- Network Documentation: Create and maintain detailed network documentation, including network diagrams, configurations, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and other relevant documentation. Ensure accuracy and completeness of documentation for future reference and knowledge sharing.
- Change Management: Plan and execute network changes, including configuration modifications, network upgrades, and system integrations, following established change management processes and minimizing disruption to network services.
- Understanding of compliances and policies like PCI, CIS, NIST, and ISO

- Design, Scope, and deployment of new Network projects.
Skills Required
- A strong understanding of networking principles, including TCP/IP, OSI model, routing, switching, subnetting, VLANs, VPN, and firewall concepts.
- Hands-on experience with Software-Defined Wide Area Networking (SD-WAN) solutions and technologies.
- Proficiency in managing Cisco, Meraki, SonicWall, Fortinet, Sophos, or similar firewall and switch devices.
- Proficiency in network troubleshooting and performance optimization using network monitoring and diagnostic tools.
- Experience with several Network monitoring and administration tools: SolarWinds, Auvik, and Logic Monitor.
- Work with your team members and peer groups to ensure security, availability, resiliency, and compliance with industry and regulatory requirements (ISO, SOC 1/2, FedRamp, PCI) in a fast-paced SaaS environment.
- Thorough understanding of network security aspects, common problems, and solutions (ACL, firewall filtering, and VPN)
- Security compliance experience as it relates to the network.
- Experience in solving challenging security problems using knowledge and/or skills in one, or more, of the following areas:
- Threat Modeling
- Cryptography & Secure Protocols
- Vulnerability Assessments/Penetration Testing
- Tool Assisted & Manual Code Reviews
- Vulnerability Management
- Secure Development Lifecycles.
- Knowledge on Endpoint detection and response (EDR) and managed detection and response (MDR) are cybersecurity solutions that help improve an organization's security posture
- Familiarity with Logic Monitor, SentinalOne, Artic Wolf, Threat Loacker, Barracuda, and Auvik.
