The Supply Planning Manager is responsible for overseeing and optimizing the planning, coordination, and management of the company’s supply chain operations. This role focuses on ensuring the smooth flow of goods from suppliers to inventory, balancing supply with demand, and minimizing stockouts while avoiding overstocking. The Supply Planning Manager will collaborate closely with procurement, inventory management, logistics, and sales teams to develop efficient supply plans that align with business objectives.

Your responsibilities will be :

Demand and Supply Forecasting: Develop accurate supply plans based on demand forecasts, and customer requirements to ensure product availability while minimizing excess inventory.
Supplier Coordination: Collaborate with suppliers to manage lead times, production schedules, and on-time deliveries, ensuring that the supply chain operates smoothly.
Supplier Capacity Planning: Assess suppliers production capacity constraints and develop strategies to ensure that supply can meet demand without disruptions to operations.
Performance Monitoring: Track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as on-time delivery, stock accuracy, inventory turnover, and cost efficiency to evaluate the effectiveness of supply chain processes.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with procurement, sales, inventory and logistics teams to align supply chain strategies with business goals, ensuring that supply chain processes are flexible and adaptive to changes in demand.
Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement within the supply planning function, implementing best practices, and leveraging technology to improve supply chain efficiency.
Risk Mitigation: Develop contingency plans to address potential supply chain disruptions, including natural disasters, supplier issues, or demand fluctuations.
Budget Management: Manage supply planning budgets, control costs related to procurement and inventory and identify opportunities for cost reduction.

You should have
 

Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or a related field. A Master's degree or professional certification (APICS, CSCP, CPIM) is a plus.

Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in supply chain planning, demand planning, or production planning.

Proven experience in managing supply chain operations in a complex, high-volume environment, also replenishment in US retailers such as Walmart, Kroger, Amazon.

Experience with ERP and supply chain planning software (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics, SAP, Oracle, or JDA), and dashboard (Tableau, Power BI, etc.)

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret large sets of data to make informed decisions.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration across departments and with suppliers.

Leadership skills with experience managing a team and driving performance.

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.

Strong understanding of supply chain principles, inventory control, procurement processes, and capacity planning.

Proficiency in Excel and data analysis tools.

Bilingual English/ Spanish.

Detail-Oriented: Attention to the finer points of supply chain operations and inventory management.

Adaptability: Ability to adapt quickly to changes in demand, supply issues, and market conditions.

Strategic Thinking: Ability to develop long-term supply chain strategies that align with business goals.

Problem Solving: Ability to quickly identify problems and implement solutions to prevent disruptions.

Collaboration: Strong team player who can work across departments and build relationships with key stakeholders.
 

Preferred:
 

Knowledge of Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.

Experience with international suppliers and logistics.

Strong negotiation skills and vendor management experience.

Familiarity with demand planning, forecasting tools and replenishment.
