Job Location: Richmond, VA - Job Type: Long-Term position requiring onsite 3 days a week - Duration: Possibly 24 months - Parking: Contractor is responsible for their own parking - Primary Role: Understand, replicate, and document Oracle SQL and PL/SQL code used in VDOT TMS - Task 1: Understand and document TMS tasks like generating traffic statistics, traffic factors, and federal reports - Task 1 Specifics: Shadow Senior Oracle Database Architect, observe work, take notes, validate results, and possibly create parallel non-Oracle SQL code - Task 2: Understand, replicate, and document other TMS modules like Payment and Link Management - Task 2 Specifics: Work closely with Senior Oracle Database Architect and other traffic data professionals - Task 3: Understand data, perform data cleaning and preparation tasks, and conduct limited data analysis and visualization - Main Goal: Ensure documentation is complete, understandable, and up-to-date.
