System Engineer /Admin

Job Description

• We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced System Administrator to temporarily fill a leave of absence. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background and be able to quickly adapt to our existing infrastructure.
• This role requires a proactive and detail-oriented individual who can efficiently troubleshoot issues and implement solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Server Management:
• Build, configure, and maintain both physical and virtual servers.
• Deploy and manage server operating systems (Windows Server, Linux).
  Network Administration:
• Configure and maintain network devices (routers, switches, firewalls).
  Implement and manage network security protocols (VPN, firewall rules).
  Storage Management:
• Manage and maintain storage systems (SAN, NAS).
• Implement and manage data backup and recovery solutions.
• Security:
• Implement and manage security policies and procedures.
• Perform regular security audits and vulnerability assessments.
• Deploy and manage security solutions (firewalls, intrusion detection systems).
• Scripting and Automation:
• Develop and maintain scripts (PowerShell) to automate tasks.
  Cloud Technologies:
• Manage and maintain Azure and Azure AD environments.
• Deploy and manage cloud-based applications and services. 

Other Responsibilities:

• Install, configure, and troubleshoot software applications (SharePoint, JDE).
  Manage and maintain Active Directory.
• Implement and manage Group Policy Objects (GPOs).
• Deploy and manage endpoint management solutions (Intune/Endpoint Manager).
  Provide technical support to end-users.
• Required Skills and Experience:
• Strong knowledge of server and network infrastructure.
• Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware, vSphere).
• Proficiency in scripting languages (PowerShell).
• Experience with cloud technologies (Azure, AWS).
• Strong understanding of security best practices.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Certification in relevant technologies (MCSA, MCSE, CCNA, CCNP) is preferred
