Technical/Functional Skills    

  • Bachelor's/Master’s degree in Mechanical/Electrical/Electronics or related fields
  • Minimum of 3+ years' experience in design/systems of low production volume equipment. Automation equipment preferred.
  • Worked with Development teams on risk management documentation. SRA, PFMEA, DFMEA, Fault Tree Analysis.
  • Worked with hardware and software development and quality teams to understand the requirements and to derive test specs
  • Created and executed test strategy, plans, and protocols for characterization, verification, and validation to demonstrate compliance to the requirements and troubleshoot test errors.
  • Strong documentation, communication, and interpersonal skills with fluency in English reading and writing.
  • Good interpersonal skills to interact with engineering and manufacturing teams and able to explain difficult or sensitive information and to build consensus
  • Ability to work independently, with minimal guidance and on cross functional teams. Ability to solve complex problems.

 

Roles & Responsibilities:       

 

  • On time delivery of assigned tasks and regular attendance of sprint planning and daily management meetings.
  • Working collaboratively with hardware and software development and quality teams to understand the requirements and to derive test specs
  • Create and execute test strategy, plans, and protocols for characterization, verification, and validation to demonstrate compliance to the requirements and troubleshoot test errors.
  • Attend design review meetings with engineers on a regular basis to understand the system design intent to be reflected in the system model
  • Provide feedback to engineers on design that can be improved for usability and/or reliability.
  • Proactively document and communicate changes made to the system model
  • Design system tests (Characterization, Verification, Validation and Reliability) to demonstrate achievement of requirements
  • Conduct and/or supervise tests and prepare reports of test results, including tests involved running software and hardware in the lab
  • Occasional weekend check-ins to maintain tests and/or take data may be required.
  • Document any abnormal findings while performing testing and work with development to troubleshoot and root cause the finding.
  • Work with Development teams on risk management documentation. SRA, PFMEA, DFMEA, Fault Tree Analysis.
