Description

As a System Administrator, you will work with a variety of individuals that may including Application Support, Project Leaders, external customers, business users, and senior management. You will manage Operating System upgrades, Operating System lifecycle, and other duties requiring in-depth knowledge of Server Hardware and Software technologies.

Primary Responsibilities:
•Provides administrative support for Windows and Linux Platforms
•Provides administrative support for Microsoft Endpoint Manager (MEM)
•Review patches released by Microsoft, understand the need of the released patches for different Applications Technology environments, and perform Patch management activities using MEM
•Acts as subject matter expert on assigned projects. Takes responsibility for the completion of assigned project tasks
•Resource should understand how to utilize in-depth knowledge of virtualization using unified compute, storage, and network resources
•Monitors relevant systems for availability and performance
•Conducts routine hardware and software audits of servers to ensure compliance with established standards
•Plans, documents, and communicates operating systems, physical host, and ancillary resource configuration standards
•Demonstrates understanding of current SAN and data backup technologies and terminology
•Demonstrates understanding of how business requirements impact technical requirements
•Designs and develops standard operating procedures optimizing performance for both operational and regulatory concerns
•Designs, recommends, and develops a comprehensive system of inventory and monitoring for supported hardware and software
•Follows established IT processes for change, configuration, and problem management as well as regulatory requirements
•Create templates and balancing resources for optimal performance, availability, and risk avoidance
•Develops technical specifications/design documents that meet business and technical requirements and obtain appropriate approvals
•Ensures that technical specifications optimize application/systems performance
•Defines monitoring, data backup, and reporting needs for SAN solutions
•Defines security requirements for applicable SAN technical solutions
•Maintains comprehensive documentation standards
•Employs the use of automation and templates for the creation of device configuration and design documentation

Required Qualifications:
•Bachelor's degree in information computer science, technology, or a related field
•5+ years of experience in supporting IT environments with an expert-level understanding of Windows
•3+ years of experience with virtualization technologies (such as VMWare, Hyper-V) MS Windows Server (such as 2012, 2016, 2019) TCP / IP networking and LAN / WAN environments
•3+ years of experience with scripting and automation
•1+ year of experience showing proficiency with Managed Engine or other ticketing systems

Preferred Qualifications:
•Professional Technical Certification (Microsoft, VMWare, and/or Linux)
•Working knowledge with Alerting and Monitoring systems (Zabbix, Graylog, etc.)
•Excellent technical support and strong people skills
•Health Care industry experience
