Description

Primary Work: This candidate must have experience in systems analysis, environmental assessment and/or natural resources. Experience with projects related to cadastral GIS mapping, geospatial data, property tax records, and/or land ownership is required.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT

Consultant will work on-site at the Client, 2600 Blair Stone Road, Tallahassee. DEP reserves the right to change this work site to another DEP building within Tallahassee to meet the needs of the Department. DEP will provide a PC/laptop and associated software to meet the services required within this contract. DEP will provide a desk (cubicle) and chair, network account and other applications as required for the position. This will also include standard office supplies such as paper, pens and pencils.

Appendix B: Position Tasks to be performed:

Data Clean-up including analysis and resolution of system generated data warnings and conflicts

Research, analyze and resolved GIS and non-GIS data conflicts in response to the LITS data conflicts and warnings

Conduct GIS and non-GIS data clean-up activities as assigned by DEP LITS staff

Will be responsible for performing research on issues related to public land ownership and less than fee interests

Perform review of property appraiser data and mapping to solve issues related to public land ownership

Perform GIS analysis of spatial data to verify accuracy of mapping and to gather additional polygon specific data

Research on available digital and hardcopy mapping and land title across multiple state agencies and every Florida county

Perform research of DEP internal systems data and mapping

Perform public records research of vesting deeds

Review of Water Management District and other agency GIS Data

Develop and continually assess for improvement and communications processes

Assisting in the preparation and documentation of program requirements and specifications
