Role and Responsibilities:
• Responsible for the design and development of 𝐀𝐓/𝐂𝐕𝐓 𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐬𝐦𝐢𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 systems, including relevant synchro pack design and calibrations.
• Conduct design reviews to assess the transmission system architecture and relevant layouts.
• Perform analytical calculations for mechanical transmission parts such as gears, shafts, shifting systems, and bearing selection.
• Expertise in 𝑮𝑫&𝑻, 𝑫𝑭𝑴𝑬𝑨, 𝑫𝑭𝑨, stack-up analysis, Bill of Materials (BoM), and Engineering Change Management.
• Proficient in Kisssoft and Romax software for optimizing and simulating drivetrains.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to review and resolve design and manufacturing issues.
• Apply standards and methodologies to arrive at robust design solutions.
• Evaluate and select materials for transmission components considering performance, cost, and manufacturability.
• Ensure timely release of designs according to project milestones, while maintaining design quality and adherence.
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and advancements related to transmission casting design.
• Collaborate with suppliers to oversee the manufacturing and production process, ensuring quality and timely delivery.
• Possess a functional understanding of heat treatment processes, gear cutting processes, and technical design documents.
• Ability to introduce new products from concept design to detailed design and prepare assembly/service manuals.
• Prepare detailed part print manufacturing drawings and define tolerances to ensure proper form, fit, and function.
• Apply standards and methodologies to arrive at a robust design solution.
• Experienced in sheet metal part, pipe, and hose design.

Qualifications and Education Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent from a reputed Institution / University
