Job Description:

Would you like to help implement innovative cloud computing solutions to the Client Fulfilment Centre Network? The Client Robotics team is making networking configuration changes to all its automation products at a Fulfilment Centre which will eventually be implemented to hundreds of locations. This candidate will help with the implementation and scaling of the process as part of a Retrofit program and ensure results are delivered on a timely fashion.

Good understanding of wired and wireless computer network infrastructure which includes knowledge of switches, routers, ports, access points, LAN/WAN, etc.
Possess exceptional troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Understand how commodity servers, operating systems and network"s function, perform and scale.
Create or provide feedback on processes that enhance operational workflow and provide positive customer impact.
Dive deep to resolve problems at their root, looking for failure patterns amenable to long-term solutions via simplification and automation.
Avoid re-inventing the wheel and prefer appropriately simple, repeatable solutions over more complex and failure prone ones.
Recognize and adopt best practices in documentation, testing, security, operational support at scale, and efficient use of resources.
Develop appropriate metrics to demonstrate performance at improving operational efficiency.

Core Requirements:
In depth knowledge of & experience deploying and operating Linux or other UNIX variants in a datacentre environment.
Fundamental knowledge of AWS infrastructure. AWS Essentials certifications preferred.
Strong system troubleshooting skills.
Good understanding of automation via Python programming and shell scripting.
Good understanding of standard internet protocols (Ethernet, ARP, IP, ICMP, UDP, TCP, SSL, DNS, HTTP, etc.)
Demonstrable grasp of security best practices in server configuration, tool development, and access controls.
Basic understanding of SQL queries.

Highly Desirable Attributes:
Educational or professional experience related to robotics technologies.
Knowledge of C++, Python
Experience deploying or managing servers in large-scale, geographically diverse environments.
Understanding & experience of managing and monitoring large projects.
Operational knowledge of common enterprise switching and routing platforms.
