Job duties and responsibilities include:
Analyze customer needs from the provided statement of work or similar requirement documents and determine the system level, sub-system level requirements for developing system architecture for the Automatic Train Control system.
Communicate with the engineering team or clients to understand specific system requirements.
Derive System level, Subsystem level and Component level requirements from the Customer requirements specifications and maintain in DOORS.
Document design specifications, installation instructions, and other system related information.
Verify stability, interoperability, portability, security, or scalability of system architecture.
Collaborate with engineers or software developers to select appropriate design solutions or ensure the compatibility of system components.
Develop the Automatic Train Operating System using C, control systems and MatLab.
Investigate complaints from customers or the tester, evaluate problems, and recommend solutions.
Set up the test equipment to ensure that installation and operations conform to customer specifications, engineering specifications, standards, or test procedures.
Test the Automatic Train Control System and sub-systems (which includes ATP, ATO, ADU, CSRD, CCB, SESAM etc.) at system level, Sub-System level and Functional level testing using a Lab-View based Simulator and a Portable Test Unit.
Prepare and execute the test cases as per the requirements.
Prepare the traceability matrix & Formal Technical Review (FTR) process.
Requirements:
Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical or Electronic Engineering, or any related IT or Engineering field of study, plus at least three (3) years of experience in the job offered or in any related position(s).

In lieu of the above-stated primary education and experience requirements, the employer will accept a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical or Electronic Engineering, or any related IT or Engineering field of study, plus at least five (5) years of post-degree, progressively responsible experience in any related position(s).

Qualified applicants must also have demonstrable skill, knowledge, experience and proficiency in the following:

Microsoft Windows, Linux, Unix.
Windows Embedded System.
Python, C, C++.
MathWorks MATLAB.
National Instruments Lab-View based Simulator, Portable Test Unit, Microsoft Visual Studio, Eclipse, TeraTerm, PUTTY, MS-Office and PyScripter.
IBM Doors, RTC, Clear Case and Clear Quest.
No travel or telecommuting. Position is project-based at various unanticipated work sites within the U.S., and relocation may be required at the end of each long-term project.
